Canine Prostate Cancer Symptoms

There are numerous symptoms of canine cancer. But just like all cancer if you catch it early, the prognosis is good for your dog. This means that you have to be extra vigilant and pay close attentiveness to the warning signs that your dog will exhibit to let you know that something is wrong. The question with these warning signs is that they mimic other dog ailments. So if you observation any behavior that is out of the ordinary for your dog...don't panic! It doesn't necessarily mean cancer. But you should get your dog to a veterinarian Asap! Only a vet can resolve exactly what is wrong and then suggest you on the allowable policy of action!

1. Lack of appetite. This is a tasteless indication of illness for a whole host of dog ailments. Again don't panic, just get him or her to a vet immediately because this can lead to the next symptom.

2. Weight Loss. If your dog refuses to eat then this is the next logical thing to happen.

3. Blood in urine. A sure sign that something is wrong!

4. Stiff back legs. Your dog may be developing arthritis in his hind legs! But you will never know if you don't take him or her to the vet!

Like I said in the beginning, a lot of these symptoms could mean that something else is wrong, but you will never know until you get a vet to check it out! I can't emphasize this enough, only a vet can properly diagnose and treat what exactly is ailing your dog! So save yourself the grief and sleepless nights wondering whether or not if its cancer! Go get him checked out! If it is cancer it is not the end of the world! Like all cancers, if caught early, the long-term prognosis is very good for your dog. Good luck!
